JUBILEE 2014 will be a lively mix of sporting, shopping, food, music, and art, as well as special dinners and live entertainment on the grounds of the historic state park Charles Towne Landing in Charleston, South Carolina. Attracting G&G readers from all over the country, the three-day festival is a continuation of our commitment to celebrating the best of Southern culture and promises to delight and inspire. This MADE IN THE SOUTH WEEKEND is the largest signature event the magazine hosts, and we look forward to sharing this spirited gathering of people, products, and personalities.

James Beard Award winning chef, ASHLEY CHRISTENSEN, will be cooking alongside MIKE LATA and bringing her soulful, Southern cuisine to the JUBILEE FIELD FEAST. A native of Raleigh, NC, Ashley is the owner and executive chef of over 5 concepts in the area including Poole’s Downtown Diner, Chuck’s, Beaseley’s Chicken + Honey, and the Fox Liquor Bar. Hailing from Asheville, JOHN FLEER, owner and executive chef of RHUBARB, was named by the James Beard Foundation as one of the “Rising Stars of the 21st Century.” Chef Fleer will be assisting MIKE LATA and bringing his farm-to-table cuisine to the the JUBILEE FIELD FEAST for all to taste.

Oyster growing duo, Ryan and Travis Croxton, will be steaming up their world-famous Rappahannock River Oysters (yes, South Carolina-style) at the G&G Jubilee. Also onboard will be celebrated chef Dylan Fultineer of the company’s flagship restaurant, Rappahannock, conjuring up a seasonal stew of the Chesapeake’s finest.

Grouse Ridge Christmas Tree Farms was founded in 1976 by husband and wife, Sanford and Deborah Fishel. A soil and water conservationist by trade, Sanford takes pride not only in growing the finest Christmas trees, but also in caring for and conserving his farm land in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
